Volos is 210km from Thessaloniki airport - taxi transfer takes approximately 2 and half hours. Volos is beautifully situated in the foot of Mt Pelion on the Pagasetic Gulf. The harbor waterfront is a good spot for a stroll. Volos has a modern coastal avenue lined with pastry shops, cafes and restaurants. Places worth to visit are the local museum, and the Old Castro (Castle) of Volos.
