Map Alicante
The Spanish port city of Alicante or Alacant is situated in the middle of the Costa Blanca, south of Valencia. Alicante has been one of the most important historic Mediterranean ports throughout the centuries and today except a bustling harbor city, it is one of the fastest growing cities in the country and one of most important tourist destinations on the Spanish east coast. Its airport - Alicante L'Altet airport, outranks its Valnecian counterpart and is one of the busiest airports in Spain after Madrid, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca. It serves as a gateway to the popular resort region of Costa Blanca through regular flights from many Western European cities and the world. Alicante is a fascinating place to visit on itself with a splendid seafront palm-lined promenade, dotted with cozy outdoor bars and terrace cafés and long sandy beaches, sun-kissed for much of the year. Although a tourist paradise, Alicante lives for much more than tourism alone - it is a dynamic provincial capital, which features a series of well-curated ancient archeology museums to contemporary art galleries, modern film studios, university, festivals and an exhilarating night life. Hiring a motorbike, scooter or moped whilst in Alicante is a great way to explore the mountains and the coastline. Rent your BMW motorcycle or scooter with Motoroads in Alicante or Alicante airport and head to the roads of southern Spain and Costa Blanca.
