Despite the age of the machine and despite the high mileage - both of which I knew and were communicated accordingly - the machine was in top condition: one tire and brake pads were new. No damages. Kadikoy is a large residential and commercial district on the Asian side of the Sea of Marmara, opposite the historic center of Istanbul on the European side of the Bosporus. Its neighbouring districts are Ümraniye to the northeast, Üsküdar to the northwest, Maltepe to the southeast, and Kartal beyond Maltepe. The centre of Kadıköy today is the transportation hub for people commuting between the European side and the Asian side of the city. Marinas, yacht clubs, and wide roads line the shores of Kadikoy which is also a busy shopping district, with a wide variety of stores and characteristic in architectural style seaside mansions. Today, Kadıköy is the cultural centre of the Anatolian side of Istanbul. Kadıköy is nearer Sabiha Gokcen airport which is 35 km southeast of the district and is easily accessible via private taxi along highway E80 and Ankara street for about one hour. Kadıköy is 55 km from Ataturk international airport which is a little more than one hour in transfer time via O-3, O-1 and D-100 and Atatürk street to Kadıköy.
